Members were presented with the Action Plan setting out how the agreed recommendations from the Efficiency Information and Transformation Review(EIT) of Childrens Social Care would be implemented with target dates for completion.

Members were informed that a 30 day consultation had commenced following the conclusion of Cabinet on the 13th April 2012. There had been minor queries received during the consultation period relating to individual posts and not directly relating to the review. Regular liaison with unions had taken place and there had been no significant issues raised regarding the recommendations which had been agreed by the Arts Leisure and Culture Select Committee and Cabinet.

The Committee heard that although there was a great deal of work to get through following the review, the implemenation completion date was on target for the 3rd September 2012.

Members requested that a 6 month progress report be brought back to a future meeting of this committee.
