QUARTERLY PROGRESS UPDATES ON PREVIOUSLY AGREED RECOMMENDATIONS
AGREED the assessment of progress on in respect of previously agreed recommendations be approved, with the exception of the two outstanding recommendations in respect of the Highways, Lighting and Network Management Review which the Committee agreed should be signed off as these would now be dealt with under further "big ticket" review work; the Committee were also satisfied that the remaining recommendation in respect of the River Based Leisure Review (River Taxis) could now be signed off as complete.

Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 1st May 2013.

The Committee considered the draft scope and project plan for the Scrutiny Review of Child Poverty. Members were informed that some of the information was work in progress and would develop with the review. The Committee was also informed that the review would have close links with the separate review of Welfare Reform and joint meetings to understand links to welfare reform issues may be appropriate.

The Committee requested that definitions of child poverty be considered by Members to gain more of an understanding of what is meant of child poverty for the Review.

Members considered the Action Plan setting out how the agreed recommendations from the Scrutiny Review of Marketing of Stockton's Visitor Offer would be implemented and target dates for completion.

The Committee were given a demonstration of the visitor section of the Council's new website.

Members requested that Joanne Thompson attend a future meeting to discuss the implementation of the recommendations relating to Tees Valley Unlimited.

Members considered the assessments of progress contained within the Progress Updates on the implementation of previously agreed recommendations. There were outstanding recommendations from the scrutiny review of River Based Leisure, the EIT gateway review of Registration and Bereavement and Highways, Lighting and Network Management, and the EIT Review of Sport Leisure & Recreation.
