Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 12th March 2014.

Members were presented with an overview of Arts, Leisure and Culture Services. The following was highlighted:-
- Emerging issues
- Key achievements
- Performance

Members discussed the numbers of FOI requests received and suggested that many of the FOI requests could be for the same information therefore making anonymised responses of the most commonly asked question being made available on the SBC website which may cut down the time spent responding to FOI's.

The Committee thanked officers for their work.

The Committee considered the scope and project plan for the Review of the Effects of Arts, Leisure & Culture on Wellbeing.

Members were presented with the Action Plan setting out how the agreed recommendations from the Review of Child Poverty would be implemented and target dates for completion. It was agreed that some small alterations may be made to the responsible Lead Officers and deadlines proposed in the Action Plan, following further discussion with the appropriate Officers.

Consideration was given to the assessment of progress on the implementation of the recommendations from the Scrutiny review of Marketing of Stockton Borough and the EIT Review of Sport, Leisure & Recreation.

Members queried the latest position regards operation of the Planetarium facility. The head of Arts, Leisure and Culture advised that officers were actively seeking a partnership solution to best help people utilise the facility.
