The Panel considered an application that had been received, seeking assistance with study costs, under the County Alderman J. Worsley, JP Scolarship Educational Trust Fund.

Members agreed that the applicant be awarded 300.

The Panel was reminded that the Charity Commission expected that trusts, such as this one, spent their entire income for each year. Taking account of the 300 awarded at this meeting the trust still carried a balance of 1069 for 08/09.

Members considered this and agreed that the remaining balance should be shared equally between all applications received and awarded funding this financial year. This would result in an additional payment of 152 .56 being made to each applicant concerned, to assist them with their studies.
