Preamble

ItemPreamble
1023Consideration was given to the content of the draft minutes of the meeting held on 17th January 2007.
1024Members were presented with a revised recommendation at 6.5 of the Review of Teenage Pregnancy report. Members agreed that the revised recommendation was acceptable.

It was also suggested that Section 3 of the report should include the Tees Valley conception rates . Members agreed that the conception rates should be included as Stockton Borough figures could then be compared with the figures for neighbouring local authorities and nationally.

It was agreed that subject to the two above mentioned modifications the report be presented to Cabinet.

The Chair thanked Members and Officers for their input into the Review.
1025Members discussed the possibility of a review of bullying and the possible timescales for the review.

Members felt that as the review would have to be completed in a short timescale the best way to complete the review would be to have one full day session. A report would then be produced based on the findings of the full day session.

Members agreed that the Scrutiny Officer prepare a scope for the review of bullying and find an available date when both Members and Officers are free for the full day session.
1026Members discussed the Future Work Programme for the Committee.

Members agreed that the Corporate Parenting Review should take place between July 2007 and September 2007 as there would be no school involvement. Members then agreed that the School Organisation Plan Review would take place once the Corporate Parenting Review had been completed.
