AGREED that:-

1. The Scope be approved.
2. Members be sent a copy of the Service Prospectus for Schools.
3. Members receive a report on the Tees Valley Music Service in due course.

Cllr Miss Barbara Inman declared a personal/non prejudicial interest in relation to Agenda Item No. 6 further to a relative applying for the Graduate Teacher Training Programme.

The minutes of the meeting held on list 5th October, 2011 were signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

Consideration was given to the draft minutes of the meeting held on 26th October, 2011.

Members were provided with the scope for the EIT Review of School Effectiveness.

The services that were included in the review were as follows:-

- School Improvement
- Inclusion (including attendance and behaviour)
- Governor Support
- SICTU
- Education Centre Staffing
- Workforce Development (children and adult)
- Looked After Children in Education Team
- Redhill Returners Unit
- Specialist Learning Team

The Tees Valley Music Service would be reviewed by a sub regional project board and would therefore not be included within the scope of the review.

A Service Prospectus for Schools was being launched on 5th December, 2011. A copy would be circulated to members.

Members also requested a report on the Tees Valley Music Service in due course.

Consideration was given to progress of the implementation of previously agreed recommendations. There were outstanding recommendations from the reviews of Child Placements, Universal Youth Services, and Integrated Youth Support Service.

There were a number of recommendations that were now fully achieved and the Committee agreed that these be signed off.

The next meeting would be held on Wednesday, 14th December 2011.

Member were requested to provide suggestions for future topics. Cllr Patterson suggested that a review of Secondary Schools be undertaken.

The Chair had received an invitation on behalf of the Committee to a Children in Foster Care Christmas Party at Billingham Synphonia on 8th December 2011 at 4.30pm.
