959 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 8TH DECEMBER, 2006
The minutes of the meeting held on 8th December, 2006 were agreed as a correct record.
960 REVIEW OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY
Concluded that:-

1. The Scrutiny Officer finalise the report with the addition of a further recommendation as detailed by Members.

2. The Scrutiny Officer liaise with the Link Officer, Corporate Director, Cabinet Member, Chairman and Vice Chairman with regard to the additional recommendation.
3. The report be presented to a future meeting of Cabinet upon finalisation of the report.
961 REVIEW OF BULLYING
Concluded that the update be noted.

960Members were presented with a final draft version of the Teenage Pregnancy Review Report following the changes made at the previous meeting. The report if finalised at this meeting would be presented to Cabinet on 1st February, 2007.

Members held further discussion on the differences between authorities with regard to their funding structures for dealing with teenage pregnancy issues. It was felt that the funding in this area needed to be streamlined and focused.

Members accepted and endorsed the Teenage Pregnancy report and recommendations but requested that a further recommendation be made to strengthen the monitoring arrangements following the completion of this review.
961A tripartite meeting had been arranged for 16th February, 2007 to discuss the review topic with the Department, prior to undertaking a scoping exercise and project plan with Members of the Committee.

Discussion was held on future reviews that had been considered by the Scrutiny Liaison Forum on 12th January, 2007 for review by this Select Committee following the Election. The topics highlighted for future review were Corporate Parenting and the School Organisation Plan.
