Item Description Decision
CONCLUDED that the information be noted.

1.Members comments be noted and be referred to within the Committee’s final report for further consideration on the 10th November 2010.

2.Copies of the feedback received from members be collated and circulated to all members of the Council for information.

Cllr Suzanne Fletcher declared a personal non prejudicial interest in respect of the item entitled 'Youth Service Review' as she was a member of Elm Tree Community Association.

Cllr Robert Gibson declared a personal non prejudicial interest in the same item as he was a member of Know How North East Ltd.

Cllr Terry Laing declared a personal non prejudicial interest as he was a member of Grangefield Youth & Community Committee.

Cllr Ken Lupton declared a personal non prejudicial interest as he was a member of Elmwood Youth & Community Centre.

Members were presented with the final draft recommendations of the Youth Review and asked to consider and comment on the recommendations prior to the final report being presented at the next meeting of Children and Young People which was to be held on 10th November 2010.

A presentation was given to both the Committee and other members present by officers outlining the evidence collated prior to the recommendations being reached. Members were then asked to form groups and invited to comment on each of the 7 recommendations proposed for consideration.

The feedback received from Members would be collated and would be distributed to all Members prior to the next meeting of this Committee.

The final report of the review was scheduled to be considered by Executive Scrutiny Committee on the 16th November 2010 and then by Cabinet on the 16th December 2010.
