1. The summary of evidence be noted.

As part of the Review of Waste Management and Recycling Members were presented with a summary of evidence. The summary of evidence included:-

1. A summary of the performance targets

2. A summary of the public consultation exercise. Summary of response rate by ward and analysis of the responses

3. A summary of costed policy options including carbon impact analysis and assessment of operational considerations

4. Overview of Arup - Carbon Footprint study

Members then formulated the draft recommendations that would be included in the draft final report.

Members agreed that the draft final report be presented to them on 26th march 2008.

The Scrutiny Officer presented Members with an updated Scope and Project Plan.

Members also discussed possible topics for future review for 2009/10. The possible topics included:-

1. How the Council deals with it's own waste

2. How businesses deal with their waste

3. Carbon Management Strategy
