Consideration was given to the draft minutes of the meeting held on 4th March 2013.

Members were provided with the Action Plan for the Task and Finish Review of Community Safety and Security Services.

Members were provided with a presentation providing an overview of Environment Services.

The following areas were covered:

- Care for your area services (CYFA)
- Countryside and Greenspace
- Waste Management
- Fleet Management
- Technical Services

Members were provided with the key achievements and emerging issues for the Service Area. Members provided questions on the following:

- Food bin recycling
- Waste bin collections
- The Fuel Poverty Partnership
- Street light dimming
- The use of solar panels

Members were requested to consider the assessments of progress contained within the attached Progress Updates on the implementation of previously agreed recommendations. There were outstanding recommendations from the review of Carbon Management, and Efficiency, Improvement & Transformation (EIT) reviews of Built and Natural Environment and Care for Your Area.

Members noted that the final outstanding recommendation for the review of Carbon Management had now been fully achieved.

Recommendation No. 11 of the EIT Review of Built and Natural Environment had been fully achieved.

Part of Recommendation No. 1 had been fully achieved of the EIT Review of Care for Your Area.
