Consideration was given to the minutes from the meeting which was held on the 21st July 2011 for signature.

Consideration was given to the minutes from the meeting which was held on the 15th September 2011 for signature.

Consideration was given to the minutes from the meeting which was held on the 3rd November 2011 for approval.

Consideration was given to the draft final report for the EIT (Efficiency Improvement Transformation) Review of Community Safety and Security Services.

Members considered each recommendation individually and agreed the final report.

The Committee was informed that a tri-partite meeting with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety and the relevant Corporate Director was scheduled for the 19th of December 2011, prior to the report being presented to Executive Scrutiny on th 31st January 2012. The Scrutiny Officer requested that the Chair of Housing and Community Safety prepare a foreword to accompany the report at the tri-partite meeting in December.

Consideration was given to progress of the implementation of previously agreed recommendations. There were outstanding recommendations from the reviews of:

- Review of Choice Based Lettings.

- Review of Taxi Licensing.

Members agreed that a further update come back to this Committee at its next quarterly update.

Members were reminded that they could still submit future topics to be reviewed on a similar basis to the EIT Reviews for the Housing and Communtiy Safety Select Committee.

The Committee proposed that the following be taken into consideration:

- Safety issues surrounding railway crossings.

- To review Tristar and Erimus Housing's delivery of the offer document agreed to during the housing stock transfer.

- Review the impact on local residents of recent welfare reform and 'under-occupation' rules.

Members were informed that the Scrutiny Liaison Forum would determine the priority of each Scrutiny Committees reviews.
