Members were asked to consider a report and determine what action to take in relation to the continued fitness of Private Hire Driver - Ref 004661 who allegedly punched another licensed driver in the face whilst their vehicles were alongside each other. CCTV footage of the area showed part of the incident, however Private Hire Driver - Ref 004661 had submitted a contradictory account of the incident to Officers after viewing the CCTV evidence, claiming he had not done anything wrong.

Prior to the commencement of the meeting Mr Nertney a Principal Solicitor for Stockton Borough Council had received correspondence from Private Hire Driver - Ref 004661's legal representative requesting that the hearing be deferred to obtain proper representation and legal advice.

Members agreed to adjourn the hearing to a future meeting of the Licensing Committee.
