Members were asked to consider the assessments of progress contained within the progress updates of Housing Providers, A-Boards and Countryside Sites.

The following points were highlighted:

Housing Providers:

- The Communication protocol was pending a review and was currently being updated following the Local Government Election

- Officers found that it would be beneficial to include names and contact details of individual patch officers within the Communication Protocol document. This information had been requested and the Housing service was aiming to distribute to all Members in July 2015

A-Boards:

- Members were presented with a summary of private furniture found on the adopted highway in 2015. It was highlighted that the results demonstrated the level of compliance of local businesses

- Officers leading the review informed Members that they were committed to delivering feedback to partners such as the visually impaired

- A light touch approach was taken when educating businesses on A-Boards and street furniture

- Members received a leaflet which provided information on the 2015 guidance of Street Cafes, Shop Displays and A-Boards on the Highway. The Committee heard that the guidance would also be published on the SBC Website

Countryside Sites:

- Members were informed that the recommendations made on the Review Countryside Sites were based strongly upon significantly reduced resources within Care For Your Area(CFYA)

- Officers had given consideration to alternative ways of how SBC could publicise countryside sites and how the public could be more involved

- Work was focusing on the three main country parks across the Borough with officers from across the authority in addition to private sector and third sector parties

- It was highlighted that the kind of funding which CFYA aimed at attracting depended highly upon the site in which the funding would be spent on

- Members heard that the launch of the Stockton Environment Forum took place in June 2015 and was to be taken forward by Catalyst Stockton
