Cllr Ross Patterson declared a personal non prejudicial interest in item number 5 as he was a member of the Yorkshire Riding Society.

Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 7th September 2015.

The Committee considered a report that set out the review of boundary signs including the current position. It was highlighted that although recommendations could be made government legislation was yet to come forward that would impact on what the Council could do. The Committee requested that once government legislation was available the decision on the boundary sign design come back to this Committee for consideration.

Members were given details of possible locations that the Borough boundary signs could be placed and agreed that the ceremonial boundary signs would be placed at the River Tees crossings at Princess of Wales bridge, Victoria Bridge, Jubilee Bridge and Yarm bridge.

The Committee considered its work programme. It was highlighted that their was an APSE seminar taking place in Stratford that Members may have an interest in. Cllr David Rose stated as he was a Member of APSE he could request someone to attend a future Committee meeting.
