Mr Jonathan Spruce and Sarah Dennison - Tees Valley Joint Strategy Unit

Mr Malcolm Potter - Tees Valley Engineering Partnership

The evidence presented by Egizia Crabbe (North East Employers Coalition) covered the following keys areas:-

1. Background to National Employment Panel (NEP)

2. Strategic Objectives

3. Employer Coalitions/North East Employer Coalition (NEEC)

4. Key Areas of NEEC Activity

5. Areas of Involvement

6. Stockton Specific Activity

7. Period of Transition

The evidence presented by Jonathan Spruce and Sarah Dennison (Tees Valley Joint Strategy Unit) covered the following keys areas:-

1. Development and Key Asks of Business Case

2. Elements of the Proposed Multi Agency Agreement

3. Structure of Tees Valley Unlimited

4. Details and Structure of Employment and Skills Board

5. Emerging City Region Issues

The evidence presented by Malcolm Potter (Tees Valley Engineering Partnership) covered the following keys areas:-

1. Background to Tees Valley Engineering Partnership (TVEP)

2. News items on TVEP relating to employability

3. What can be achieved by working collectively

4. Engineering figures for the Tees Valley and Stockton Borough

4. Details of the skills shortage and the amount of future work

Malcolm Potter then went on to give Members detailed answers to the questions that had been given to him prior to the meeting.

Members were then given the opportunity to ask questions of the witnesses.

The Chairman thanked the witnesses for their attendance at the meeting.
