REVIEW OF PAVEMENT PARKING
CONCLUDED that
1. A representative from the Communnication Team be reinvited to attend the next Committee meeting.

2. That an update be provided to ascertain when Member advice for pavement parking would be available.

3. The Scrutiny Officer to work with the Scrutiny Team Leader to configure the most appropriate way of presenting information regarding the impact of recommendations.

EIT REVIEW OF EVENTS, ARTS AND TOURISM
CONCLUDED that

1. The Scrutiny Officer to compile and supply all relevant background information to the Committee.

2. The Review Lead Officer to compile baseline financial information and present this at the Committee meeting on 24th May 2010.

3. The Scrutiny Officer to investigate including events in the Democracy Diary.

Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 22nd February 2010.

The Chairman signed the minutes of the meetings held on 2nd November 2010 and 16th November 2010.

The Chair restated the Committee's intention to get three items featured in Stockton News. No representative from the Communication Team was present.

The Committee raised the issue of a Member's handbook that would inform what advice could be given to residents about pavement parking.

The Chair raised the issue of more detail about completed recommendations to determine what impact recommendations had made and whether more scrutiny was required.

Members discussed a draft scope and project plan for the review which was to go forward to the tripartite meeting. The Committee was also supplied with a list of events during 2010-2011.

The Committee acknowledged that previous reviews have taken place that covered aspects of the EIT review and asked that previous findings, recommendations along with other background information was neded to assist Members undertake this review.

The Committee requested that financial information be available to determine the value for money of the services and events under review.

The Committee requested that all Members receive a diary of events for 2010-2011 and that the events be included in the Democracy Diary to help inform Members.

The Committee agreed that more meetings be scheduled to enable the full consideration of evidence for the EIT Review of Events, Arts and Tourism.

The Committee was informed that Richard McGuckin, Acting Head of Technical Services would be attending the next committee meeting on 24th May 2010 to provide information about the monitoring of recommendations for the Review of Sustainable School Travel.

The Committee would receive monitoring updates for the outstanding recommendations for the reviews of Highway Network Management; Pavement Parking; and Street Lighting at the next committee meeting.
