The Scrutiny Officer informed Members that the two topics which they would be reviewing during 2012-13 would be long term empty abandoned properties and employability support. This followed the agreement of the scrutiny work programme by Executive Scrutiny Committee in December.

The Committee requested that the scoring criteria for choosing reviews be forwarded to Members. It was suggested that an item be included on the next agenda to provide Members with more information on the process for formulating the Scrutiny work programme.

Members were informed that the suggestion put forward to review the regeneration of shopping parades would be considered further by Executive Scrutiny Committee.
