Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 11th January 2011.

Members agreed the above meeting date with change to the first meeting date to the 14th June 2011.

Trevor Redfern was not present but provided the Association with an update via email. The number of residents spoke to since the beginning of the project was 2850. They were currently in the process of establishing neighbourhood champions who would be able to carry on work when the project ended in April.

John Morley informed Members that there was 40 plus No Cold Calling Zones and several which were being considered. Members requested that lists of No Cold Calling Zones and road which had been considered be sent to all Members. It was also requested that guidance on canvassing be sent to all Members.

Falls Day was due to take place on 22nd June 2011. Due to the local elections it would not be confirmed until late May who would be on the Home Safety Association and whether they would be available to take part in Falls Day. Members requested that the Chair provided a check list for the new Chair. Members requested that the Mayor be invited to the event to encourage people to come and take part. The Association requested the hire of the gazebo's as was in 2010.

The Children's Centre Officer informed the Association that the RoSPA contract ended in April and they had received further equipment from RoSPA. A meeting was arranged with a health representative to hopefully start receiving information about hospital admissions for children. An incident had taken place in the UK where a young child had died in the bath. Staff were using this to remind parents of the dangers of leaving young children in the bathroom alone.

The Trading Standards Officer informed Members that there were no outstanding safety matters to report. There was some court cases coming up in connection with doorstep crime but this would be reported back when they had been dealt with.
