Members agreed the notes from the inquorate meeting on 13th September 2011.

Consideration was given to the draft minutes of the meeting held on 26th July 2011.

Members were informed that there had been received 16 applications since April 2011. There were currently 71 No Cold Calling Zones, 9 Doorstep Crime Watch Zones and 3600 information packs had been sent.

Members were reminded that the Are You Being Served event was taking place on 25th October 2011. The Association had some coasters and purse bells to give away and would again be sharing a table with Trading Standards.

The Children's Centre Officer was not present.

The Trading Standards Officer informed Members that they were currently testing halloween items and up to now only one had failed which was an adult's mask and this was undergoing further tests. Members were also informed that someone had short term hearing loss due to a Sonic Ultra Sound Cat Scarer. When looking into guidance on using ultra sound products the only advice was to be safe.

Dave Sanders informed Members that there had been a slight reduction in crime figures compared to the same time last year but the main problem was still metal thefts. It was reported that there had been an increase in cycle thefts.
