Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 29th January 2013.

Members were provided with the letter which the Chair sent on behalf of the Association regarding falls. Members requested that Bob Warnock attended a meeting to discuss falls referrals further.

Alison Blackburn informed the Association that items had been received to distribute to families to improve safety around the home. This included screw cap cups so hot drinks do not spill, bath thermometer, draw and cupboard catches and hair straighteners pouch.

Meetings had been organised for the Children's Home Safety team to work with the Fire Brigade to provide heart start demonstrations in each of their centres.

Lorraine Wilford informed members that there had been issues with part worn tyre's and inspections had taken place with various garages to ensure that the tyre's had been marked up correctly.

Members were also informed that 7 new applications for No Cold Calling Zones had been received.

Dave Sanders informed the Association that crime across the force was down 2.5% year on year. Metal thefts and shed break ins was still causing a problem in the Borough. Residents were storing expensive items in shed and putting a cheap lock on them. Shoplifting was up nationally and many were middle aged ladies.

The Association was provided with a financial update. Members agreed that money would be spent on items for Falls Day and Are You Being Served Event. Members agreed that 1500 would be spent on items for both events.
