Cllr Evaline Cunningham declared a personal interest as she was a Member of the Fire Authority and her son worked for Go-Warm.

Cllr Bill Woodhead declared a personal interest he was a Member of the Fire Authority.

Members discussed the falls team referrals which had been previously discussed by the association. The Committee agreed the following questions be forwarded to Bob Warnock who would be attending the next meeting:-


- What about under 65's who were at risk through illness? Were they assessed separately and routinely?
- How would the 80 infra red sensors be allocated?
- Had the Age UK dvd's been introduced yet? If yes, how & to whom, if not, why not?
- Was it true that if target figures for assessments were achieved then Falls Team wouldn't be able to cope with demand?
- What were the results of the audit of assessment forms completed and what level of follow up took place?
- Is there anything that Home Safety Association can do to help?

The Association was informed that Falls Day had been cancelled due to the lack of response.

Children's Officer was not present.

The Police Officer informed the Association that crime figures were the lowest on record. The biggest reducation was in criminal damage and arson.

The Fire Officer informed Members that checks were being done in parks after dark which helped reduced mischief fires. More was being done to talk to young people and educate them in the area's with high amounts of mischief fires.

Members were also informed that where there had been fires with sprinkler systems in operation there had been no fatalities.

The Trading Standards Officer informed Members that they would be looking at Eco Scheme and New Green System to ensure work carried out was in accordance with customer rights. There had been a problem with poor quality electrical chargers purchased on internet sites such as Ebay.
