Cllr Evaline Cunningham declared a personal non prejudicial interest as she was a Member on the Fire Authroity.

Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 8th October 2013.

The Children's Centre Officer informed Members that the next phase of spending of the extra funding would take place in January/February 2014. The equipment would be distributed at safety events to families. During the period April 2013 - October 2013 130 families received safety equipment, there had been 16 safety events held across the Borough and 4500 burns and scalds packs handed out.

The Trading Standards Officer informed Members that they would be focusing on targeting retailers to sell blind shortners/cleets. Members requested that information on safety with blinds be sent to include in their newsletters.

Members were informed that tests had been undertaken on the strength of the bulbs used in Tanning Salons in the Borough, of 28 premises only 10 were compliant.
