The Trading Standards Officer informed the Association that it had 3500 left in its budget. Members agreed thought needed to be given on how this could be spent.

The main information was provided on the following:-
- There had been 3 search warrants on European Food on Hartington Road and a tobacco dog was taken on 2 occasions, with 2 successful prosecutions and 1 pending. Trading Standards didn't have the powers to close the premises and after each occasion tobacco had been found the premise changed hands.
- A poster had been produced to remind parents/carers to be mindful of trips and other hazards with Halloween costumes.
- There was 2 underage test purchases for fireworks organised.
- There had been an overwhelming request for No Cold Calling Zone stickers and they were awaiting a new delivery.

Members were then given the opportunity to ask questions and make comment and these could be summarised as follows:-
- Was there something available to remind people what to do if they received a cold call telephone call? Trading Standards would look into whether there was something available.

The Children's Centre Officer provided an update that included the following:-
- There had been lots of interest in the Home Safety Sessions since the toddler sadly choked in Pizza Hut. The prevention of choking was all to do with the shape of the food and supervising children eating.

Members discussed the options for holding the annual Falls Awareness day and also whether this should be changed to a Home Safety Day. It was proposed to hold a Home Safety Day rather than the usual Falls Awareness Day during Child Safety Week in 2016.
