Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 27th June 2017.

The children's centre officer was not present.

The trading standards officer informed the Association of 4 issues with regard items as follows:-
- A mobile phone case that had glitter and liquid inside the case that had leaked and caused burns. When tested it contained white spirit. The items was direct from the USA therefore they could not be made to act upon the incident. The company withdrew all the units from UK, EU and worldwide.
- A rattle purchased from Poundland had come apart and small parts came off. There was no injury and the product was retested and passed therefore was back on sale.
- Issues with a circular saw from B&Q where someone has cut their finger. This was being tested and more information would be provided after this.
- Mobile phone charger bought from the market setting on fire which was also being tested and more information would be provided after this.

The Association were provided with a financial update. The starting balance was 1323.90 and after spending some money on items for the Home Safety event the remaining balance was 817.64.

Members discussed holding an event in this financial year. It was agreed that an event would held in Stockton Town Centre on 10th January 2018 10am-2pm outside the Town Hall.

The relevant organisations would be invited to hold a stall. The Mayor would also be invited.

Members were informed that due to health issues Ann Cains had resigned from the Association. The Chair was going to send a letter thanking Ann for her contribution to the Association over the years.
