Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 24th October 2017.

Members discussed the homes safety event being held on 10th January 2018.

It was requested for access for those who needed it to the high street with vehicles.

The Trading Standards officer explained that information regarding the saw from B&Q discussed at the last meeting was waiting to be received.

It was also reported that trading standards were helping the Food Standards Agency with some issues with novelty glasses leaking led when drinking from them. There had been a recall on the item.

Members also discussed possibility of some areas being suitable for no cold calling zones. Any suggested areas needed to be put forward to trading standards.

The Children's Centre Officer reported that the children's centre had just been through a review and home safety would continue. It was reported that health visitors would receive some home safety training.

Members were informed that an application had been put in to be partners in the RoSPA Take Action Today Put them Away campaign that would take place for 3 weeks promoting keeping household cleaning product and medicines out of the way of children.
